The promise of a better hereafter or next life in this life, if we live within the bounds of our faith, is a core truth for any true believer of most faiths.
The promise might well be true, and it is not the purpose of TiU to denigrate any faith, or any true believer.
But let us also not tolerate the intolerable in this life...
Clearly those who hold power and wealth in any society will use the promise of a better hereafter to subjugate those who are otherwise without hope.
