Once it was necessary to establish royal lineage or to be in fulfillment of prophecy to be believed.
Later it was necessary to establish other worldly status or credentials of learning.
Yet truths and ideas stand alone independent of those who have uttered them[1] and independent of empirical data. Is a powerful idea any less valid because it has been uttered by a fool? Cannot data be found to support any position[2]?
You have it within yourself[3] to judge the truthfulness and validity of any idea or web of interwoven ideas. The Internet used judiciously is an amazing tool for uncovery.
You are able to judge truth because judging the truth lies within you[4], as it does within each of us.
