Be powerful
You are immensely powerful, if you choose to be. You are sovereign.[1]
Every thought you have, every choice you make[2], every action you take can bring you closer to your goals or distance you from them. Each step can be aligned with your values, or not. The choice is yours. At times the choice may be between a rock and a hard place, between the lesser of several evils, but the choice remains yours.
Be an activist[3] for hope[4]. Sow the seeds of hope wherever you can. Water and shelter the seedlings as they grow. Act with empathy. Words are insufficient. Do not act alone, but accept no masters[5] and take no orders – you serve only your conscience as a manifestation of the Divine[6]. Find kindred spirits and act effectively in concert[7] with them. Be resolute and hard-hearted[8] when you need to be.
To be an activist for hope:
-
Be indignant[9]. If you don’t care, don’t start.
-
Take personal responsibility[10]. Don’t blame circumstance and others.
-
Know your goals and your values[11]. How else will you know you are getting closer to your goals while being true to your values?
-
Network and organize[14].
